      Tamara L. Peterson, D.O.

Dr. Peterson, is the Managing Member and owner of Summit Pediatrics, which she founded in 2012. She received her B.A. in Biology from Augsburg College before completing her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. Dr. Peterson then completed her Pediatric Residency at Children's Mercy Hospital. From 2011-2013 she served as the Director of Education for Children's Mercy South Emergency Department. Behavioral concerns, asthma, and obesity are special areas of interest to Dr. Peterson. Personally, Dr. Peterson has lived in Kansas City since 2005.  She and her husband have two young children.  She enjoys international travel, tennis, golf, playing piano, and visiting their extended families’ lake home in Minnesota.


    Sara A. Myers, M.D.

Dr. Myers has been with Summit Pediatrics since 2013 and has been serving families as a Pediatrician since 2002. She is a Kansas City native and attended the University of Missouri for her Undergraduate and Medical Degrees before completing her residency at Children's Mercy Hospital. Working with first time parents and watching the children and families grow are her favorite part of working at Summit Pediatrics. She also has a special interest in breastfeeding education. Dr. Myers greatest joy is her family, and she most loves to spend time with her husband and three young children.  They are active members of the Lee’s Summit community, and you are likely to see her around town enjoying her children’s sporting events and activities.


    Quyen Dam, M.D.

Dr. Dam joined our Summit Pediatrics team in 2014. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Microbiology and French at the University of Georgia, and remained at Wake Forest University in North Carolina for both medical school and pediatric residency.  Upon completing residency in 2010 she made the move to Kansas City where she has enjoyed several years working in pediatric primary care. She has spent time teaching medical students in her clinics and hopes to continue to contribute to medical education. Dr. Dam finds special interests in infectious disease, asthma, allergies, and medical education. She enjoys playing and spectating sports, and international traveling. Dr. Dam is a member of the Nelson Atkins Museum YFA and speaks French, Vietnamese, and Spanish.


    Mandi J. Menard, D.O.

Dr. Menard will be joining Summit Pediatrics July 24, 2017 after completing her residency in Pediatrics at The University of Kansas Medical Center. She is a graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she completed her Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Bioethics. While she has enjoyed her time at KU, she will quickly tell you she is a huge Wildcat fan as she received her Bachelors in Biology and minor in Spanish from Kansas State University. Dr. Menard is ready to begin developing long term relationships with her patients and providing them with the best care possible. Dr. Menard is looking forward to working with parents and guiding them through the ups and downs of parenthood while watching their kids grow each year. She is excited to begin working with new behavioral patients and providing all her patients with a thorough, educational office visit each time they see her. Dr. Menard also has an interest in serving and helping children with nutritional and obesity challenges. Dr. Menard is married and has one daughter who is the light of her world. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and daughter on the weekends enjoying the outdoors. Summit Pediatrics is excited to add another physician to our family who we know will provide the high quality of care we expect from our providers. 


    Stacy Hurt, C.P.N.P.

Stacy Hurt has been serving families as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 1999 and joined the Summit Pediatrics team in 2013. Stacy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995 and her Masters in Nursing Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Stacy takes great interest in the areas of asthma, nutrition, and development. Stacy and her husband stay busy raising and keeping up with their two active boys. They enjoy spending time as a family traveling, skiing, golfing, and going to Mizzou football games. 


    Amy Phillips, C.P.N.P.

Amy Phillips joined the Summit Pediatrics family in 2015. She graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City with a Master's degree in Nursing certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2006. She has practiced in pediatric primary care within the Kansas City area for the last nine years and continually maintains her BLS and PALS certifications. Amy is dedicated to providing families with compassionate, comprehensive, and convenient pediatric care. Amy takes special interest in patient advocacy and education, as well as, focused on adolescent care. She is married with three children and enjoys staying busy with all of their sporting activities.
 

    Brittany Pfeifer, C.P.N.P.

Brittany Pfeifer joined Summit Pediatrics in April 2017. Brittany graduated from Saint Louis University with her Master’s in Nursing and obtained her certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner in 2016. Before deciding to join private practice, Brittany was treating and helping kids get better at Children’s Mercy Hospital in their ER and Urgent Care Center downtown. Brittany is looking forward to developing long term provider-patient relationships with her families and celebrating and/or navigating healthcare achievements and milestones with them. She specifically finds interest in treating asthma and assessing orthopedic injuries. Brittany is married with two children whom she loves spending time with.  She and her family are active members at Summit Park Church and she will be serving Lee’s Summit high school students at Young Life camp this summer. Finally, Brittany and her two girls love being a champion for “dad” as he educates middle school students at Pleasant Lee Middle and as he coaches the Lee’s Summit West baseball team. Summit Pediatrics is excited to add another quality nurse practitioner to our family.
