At Umbrella, we know technology issues can arise at any time of day or night. While we work hard to ensure most items are taken care of before they become large issues, there are instances when our clients need our services immediately. Last week, one of our clients, Summit Pediatrics, was on a tight timeline to move to a new office and new EMR system.  When the EMR vendor was finished with their end of the work, we were called in to complete our portion. Unfortunately, the vendor took much longer than anticipated, so by the time their part was complete, it was around midnight on the day before EMR Training GoLive.  The client had scheduled training on the new systems for the next morning, so in order to ensure our client would be able to meet the deadline, our engineers sprang into action.

Project Engineer Jason Conley arrived onsite late that night to begin work. He was joined around 2 a.m. by Project Manager, Thoi “J” Nguyen, still in his pajamas.  The two worked until the early dawn hour to ensure the client would be able to utilize their systems that morning. As expected, there are always a few hiccups when going live on EMR, Project Engineer Chris Huff was in the office when the doors were unlocked to get them fixed. The client was able to hold their employee training that morning at 9 a.m. as planned.

At Umbrella, we are dedicated to our clients and will do almost anything to ensure their satisfaction. Even in their PJ’s at 4 a.m., our world-class engineers are some of the most professional and passionate in the business. We are proud of our team and glad we were able to help a client reach a critical goal.
